OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder) Therapy
Living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) can feel like being trapped in a loop you didn’t sign up for. Intrusive thoughts barge in—unwanted, distressing, and often out of sync with your values. In response, you may feel compelled to perform rituals or mental acts to try to neutralize the anxiety, guilt, or fear they bring. You know the relief is temporary, but in the moment, it feels like the only option.
OCD isn’t about being “quirky” or liking things tidy—it’s a real, treatable condition rooted in the brain’s alarm system misfiring. And therapy can help.
In our work together, we’ll use evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)—the gold standard for OCD treatment—which helps you gradually face your fears without falling into the trap of compulsions. We’ll pair this with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to build your tolerance for uncertainty and help you focus on what truly matters to you, even in the presence of anxiety. Internal Family Systems (IFS) can also offer a compassionate lens to explore the parts of you that are trying so hard to keep you safe, even if their strategies have gotten out of balance.
OCD can shrink your world. Therapy can help you reclaim it—step by step, with support, skill-building, and room for humor and humanity along the way.
